CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health Program)

Bridge City ISD elementary campuses have joined a new program dedicated to the physical health of our students. CATCH is a coordinated effort between classroom, cafeteria and physical education.

Good nutrition is based on making good choices. In an effort to assist parents and students in these choices, we made CATCH menus available on our web page. On these menus, items are labeled with GO, SLOW, and WHOA in an effort to help parents and students in planning their menu choices.

GO These foods are lowest in fat. You can eat them “almost” anytime.

SLOW - These foods are higher in fat. You can eat them “sometimes”.

WHOAThese foods are highest in fat. You can eat them “only once in a while”  or for special treats but they need to be combined with other GO foods.
