Bus Eligibility
Students may be picked up and dropped off at one of the following locations:

Their primary home

A state-approved daycare or in-home provider

A grandparent’s home, if they provide before/after-school care
Note: Transfer students cannot be picked up from home but may use an approved provider or grandparent stop, if available on an existing route.
Special Transportation
If your child has an IEP requiring special transportation, we will contact you with their schedule before school starts.
Bus Number
Your child’s route number is their bus assignment. Look for the black number on the side and back of the bus.
Safety Reminders

Students must ride their assigned bus and stop. Changes are only allowed in emergencies and must be approved by the Transportation Department.

Pre-K and Kindergarten students must be met at the bus stop by a parent, guardian, or older sibling. If no one is there, the student will be returned to school.

Bus stops are set based on safety and efficiency.

Buses may arrive up to 30 minutes before school starts.

Students should be at their stop 5–10 minutes before pick-up time.

Students must not loiter, litter, or trespass while waiting for the bus.

Seatbelts must be worn on seatbelt-equipped buses.

Buses may have video cameras for safety.
Student ID Cards
All students will receive a bus ID card. It must be scanned when getting on and off the bus.
Parents can use the free Parent Portal to:

Track where and when their child gets on/off the bus

See the current location of the bus
The parent app is called MyRideK12. You can download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

Their child’s safety at the bus stop

Supporting school bus rules and expectations

Helping students follow safety guidelines

Keeping contact infomation and addresses updated with the school.
