As a part of the district’s comprehensive Child Find System, all children age birth through 21 years of age who have disabilities and are living in the school district shall be identified, located, and assessed in regard to their needs for special education and related services. The district ensures the provision of a full educational opportunity for these individuals. The district further ensures that a free appropriate public education (FAPE) is available to all children with disabilities aged 3 years through 21 years of age. Children with disabilities who are eligible for special education are those students who have reached their third birthday and have not reached their twenty‐second birthday on September 1 of the current school year.
