Drug Reporting

You must read this disclaimer carefully before submitting a report.

In an effort to ensure a safe and productive campus environment, BCHS is offering cash rewards for information directly resulting in a drug conviction.

Here are some things to consider when making a report:

1. The person making the report will have his or her information kept completely confidential.
2. The reward will be given privately. No one needs to know who made the report or received the reward.
3. Abuse of the system (intentionally reporting students who do not have drugs) will result in serious consequences. Please read the FALSE REPORT WARNING before making a report.
4. In order to collect the reward, you must include information in the report which allows us to know who you are. Once again, protecting your identity will remain our priority.

FALSE REPORT WARNING Texas Education Code – Section 37.006

A student shall be removed from class and placed in a DAEP if the student engages in conduct involving a public school that contains the elements of the offense of false alarm or report under Penal Code 42.06, or terroristic threat under Penal Code 22.07.

Texas Penal Code - Section 42.06. False Alarm Or Report § 42.06. FALSE ALARM OR REPORT.

(a) A person commits an offense if he knowingly initiates, communicates or circulates a report of a present, past, or future bombing, fire, offense, or other emergency that he knows is false or baseless and that would ordinarily:

  1.  cause action by an official or volunteer agency organized to deal with emergencies;
  2.  place a person in fear of imminent serious bodily injury; or
  3. prevent or interrupt the occupation of a building, room, place of assembly, place to which the public has access, or aircraft, automobile, or other mode of conveyance.

(b) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor unless the false report is of an emergency involving a public primary or secondary school, public communications, public transportation, public water, gas, or power supply or other public service, in which event the offense is a state jail felony.
